Another NYE, another fabulous outfit!

....Too bad I have no idea what to wear! Sequins, metallics, and shine seem to be in fashion for this December 31st. While I do admit I was close to buying my own sparkling number for this years festivities, I decided why be like everyone else? Instead, I think I am going to try a statement necklace, maybe some pattered tights, possibly a black mini with some heels and call it a day. I think I'll also play with some makeup; I am considering this pink lipstick with a hint of purple that I keep seeing as I pass by the makeup counter at work. Hmmm...that didn't seem so difficult.

I have a new fashion role model! June Ambrose is an investment banker turned celebrity stylist who was recently featured in an article in Avenue Magazine. I absolutely love that recognized fashion as something she loved an even after being established in her career decided to leave and intern with another company in her pursuit of doing something fashion based in the music industry. Her company, Mode Squad, styles many artists including Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Wedges

This past weekend during a visit to New York, thanks to some terrible directions I got lost. In getting lost I couldn't help but to notice how many people were donning this one of this season's best fashion trends--wedges. On a busy Friday night I saw cute oxford wedges like the Sam Edelman 'Wesley' Wedge and sexy cut-out wedges like the Steve Madden 'Wren' wedge. Ladies dressed them up with a short dress and leather jacket or dressed them down with a pair of jeans and a casual top. How would you wear them?
