Well..I tried for the tights but failed miserably as I realized there was a major tear in them. When I tried to get a new pair verrrry last minute (as in 10pm on New Year's Eve) not one, but two Targets were sold out. I opted to wear an Aidah Collection Original. Aidah Collection features eco-chic dresses, skirts, shorts, and suits for women of all shapes and sizes.

In a way, I did get to wear something shiny, as the gold detail provides a bit of pop. I wore black pumps and went with minimal jewelry as not to take away from the dress. I love how form fitting the dress was. I really liked that it sat just off the shoulder and tied around the waist. The compliments throughout the night didn't hurt either ;)
